About Mauro Brega

I'm a motivated and dinamic guy, serious and caracterized by a self-madement profile, I have a lot of interests such as riding motorbike, play sports, history and law. I'm very interested in the last one mentioned before, this is the main reason because of my study's history, starting from College, is based on italian and international law - first of all EU Treaties, derivated rules and their own impact on the Italian and nationals legislations. My thesis regarded the relationship between the European Convention of Human Rights and the Italian Criminal Law, and the different effects of the impact of this European Treaty in Italy and in the other countries of the EU. My working life, after a beginning period in BMW Group Italia as Juniur Accountant and Document Controller, was concentrated for more than 10 years in the Corporate Company Secretary Office of Saipem SpA, the last 2 with the position of Head of Corporate Company Secretary, where I deal with preparation of BODs, GMs and POAs for a lot of Saipem Group's African subsidiaries in Egypt, Algeria, Lybia, Congo and Uganda. I'm involved in Corporate activities also in cooperation with the Saipem's General Counsel, Contract Management, Company Affairs and Governance EVP for the management (with BoardVantage) and the preparation of the Board minutes, Sustainability, Scenario and Governance Board Committee and Related Parties Board Committee minutes; wording of the"Annual Corporate Governance and Shareholders Structure Report"; managing the Saipem's press releases and regulated informations​ using E-MarketSDIR & Strorage; managing PEC, archives and files management. I also had contacts with Italian Institutions such as Borsa Italiana S.p.A, Monte Titoli S.p.A. and Consob for what concern the related parties process. In February 2023, I became Head of Italy M&A Legal Assistance for Saipem Group, which gave me the opportunity to follow extraordinary operations in various Saipem’s businesses, both in onshore, offshore and new energies sectors. Since June 2023, I’am Head of M&A Legal Assistance for Saipem Group. This work give me the opportunity to grow up my personal professional skills and interests in law. It also permits to me to have contacts with different peoples coming from different Countries all over the world and knows different cultures. After this experience, in January 2024, I became Corporate Head of Privacy Legal Assistance, with competenze also for the Artificial Intelligence on the basis of the AI Act EU Regulation which became info force on August 2024.
