About Mawusi B.

As the Senior Manager, Safety Programs at AFPM, I lead the Occupational Safety and Advancing Process Safety programs that serve over members in the fuel and petrochemical industry. With over seven years of experience in this field, I have developed a strategic vision and direction for the Safety Programs including creating cross-functional relationships, outreach opportunities, and knowledge sharing resources that help our members reach a goal of zero incidents. I have a passion for empowering individuals to build and showcase their leadership skills and help them accomplish their goals. I directly manage a team of professionals who facilitate and coordinate various committees, subgroups, and network programs and Immersive Learning projects. I also communicate and build relationships with senior leaders of AFPM member companies to understand their needs and challenges to share with our program groups to develop relevant and timely resources. Some of the projects and initiatives that I have overseen or contributed to include curating webinar series, publishing safety documents, developing program content for events, and collecting and analyzing data.
