About Max Alcalay

As the President and CEO of Addison House, Max Alcalay has brought to the Americas a premier purveyor of fine furnishings and accessories. He spearheads the company’s marketing efforts and has carried his vision of serving an international clientele with the very best of home furnishings. Since the company’s inception in 1984, he envisioned Miami as a hub for sophisticated customers who either move to Miami permanently or view it as a second home. The Addison House has filled this particular market niche unique to Miami. The showrooms bring together some of the industry’s most respected quality brands with unrivaled service. Originally from Cali, Colombia, Alcalay holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical and electrical engineering from the University of Miami and has continued his education through multiple business courses at Harvard University. Alcalay is an avid community supported who has been involved with the UN Watch Human Rights Division, Make a Wish Foundation, Wizo, AIPAC, Camillus House, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and the Haiti Relief Fund.
