About Max Barthel

A year ago I couldn't program, design a circuit, or run a 3D printer. Now I'm building a robot arm from scratch at home — mechanical design, 3D printing, electronics, firmware, control software. I taught myself all of it.Before that I built a simulation web app and a time tracking tool my colleagues use every day. I have a diploma in mechanical engineering. Everything else I picked up by building real projects, supplemented with courses for the fundamentals.I'm not a programmer in the traditional sense. I use AI as my primary tool to turn ideas into working things as quickly as possible. The skill isn't writing code — it's knowing what to build and how to get there.I read nonfiction every day and study how founders and builders think.
