About Max Bookman

In our law practice, we represent New York hospitality businesses in a variety of government regulatory matters. Our focus is alcoholic beverage law, with additional concentrations in tobacco law and cannabis law. We represent hospitality entrepreneurs of all levels of experience and sophistication, and are well-versed in all hospitality concepts, from bars and restaurants, to liquor and wine stores, to lounges, hotels, theaters, concert venues, festivals, and novel concepts. We also represent breweries, wineries, distilleries, and distributors. We navigate the complex State Liquor Authority licensing process to get your business open and serving alcoholic beverages on schedule. Once you are open, we handle your renewals and any modification to your license that you may need. We also defend your business if you ever get in trouble with the SLA. Prior to my current practice, I was a civil litigator at Smith Mazure, a mid-size Manhattan law firm. I graduated from Benjamin N.
