About Max Chiodo

Currently an Associate Director at Raytheon Technologies Research Center (RTRC), a division of Raytheon Intelligence and Space, since 2013, with extensive experience in system and software architecture, development, modeling, and simulation, both as a contributor and as a project and team lead. My experience has spanned both research and production environments, and my current fields of activity and interest include machine learning, robotic perception (visual and tactile), neuromorphic systems, system modeling and simulation, and cyber-physical systems. In my current position in Raytheon Technologies, I lead and contribute to projects at the confluence of robotics, computer vision, machine learning, and model-based design. Those include systems for robot-assisted part assembly and inspection, autonomous handling of cargo airplanes, and perception solutions for autonomous flight. Before joining Raytheon (then UTRC) I was a Senior Member of Consulting Staff at Cadence Design Systems, involved in the conception, architecture, and development of EDA products, including C-to-Silicon, an innovative high-level synthesis tool that enables the definition of HW and SW components of a system from Verilog, C++, and SystemC specifications.
