Background

About Max Cookinham

During my time in undergraduate school, I considered various careers that would allow me to leavean impact on the world while living a full and meaningful life. The most influential people in my lifehave always been my teachers and my coaches. Just as they had shaped the adult I had grown into, they would shape my decision to follow in their footsteps. As an educator, I have the honor of guiding students on the path to becoming happy, fullyfunctioning, successful adults. As a coach I am given the chance to teach kids the value of teamworkand leadership and the ways in which these skills are transferable to their lives off of the court. Theopportunity to impact the lives of children during their most formative years ignites in me adetermination to be the best teacher and coach I can be, to give back to the community and torealize my goal of leaving this world a better place than when I found it.
