About Max Goodwin

My name is Max Goodwin. I am 21 year old University student in the Bachelor of Commerce program at the University of Victoria. I chose to enter this program because for as long as I can remember I have always been interested in the world of business and how it all works. Although I had many interests growing up, the second most prominent interest I can remember is fitness. I always enjoyed Sports and exercise and made sure my fitness was always one of my top priorities. With business and fitness as my two primary motivators I decided to get my personal training degree and go to business school to see if I could not combine the two. Currently I am personal trainer working through the University of Victoria. However, my skills are not simply fitness related. I have many years of experience in sales and customer service and understand what it takes to sell a brand or yourself. I am a good public speaker in both French and English and have an affinity for talking to people and building rapport. This skill of building rapport is crucial to personal training, but I believe it can be translated into any job that requires any sort of connection with people. Wether it be long or short term, making people feel comfortable and safe in your company can only improve your business success. finally, in the future, with my bachelor of commerce degree and experience in personal training I would love to eventually start my own fitness company. wether it be simply providing personal training services or something much greater like opening my own gym, I still need a much larger network and more fitness related business experiences. hopefully my profile here can help me on my journey to finding said experiences.
