About Max Hermosillo

Hi there! My name is Max, and I am a junior at Columbia University majoring in Political Science with a concentration in Hispanic Studies. At Columbia, I am the Chief of Staff of the Columbia Political Review. I oversee club logistics, including managing room bookings, liaising with our advisor, and streamlining staff-wide communications. I also assist the Editor in Chief and Publisher with proofing articles for final publication and recruiting new staffers at the beginning of each academic term. Furthermore, I direct CPR En Español, the review's latest initiative to broaden our readership to Spanish-speaking audiences. In addition, I am the Recruitment Liaison for Casa Latina. A Special Interest Community, Casa Latina is Columbia's residential brownstone dedicated to Latine students. As Recruitment Liaison, I direct all recruitment efforts to ensure the house fills its roster for the upcoming year. Lastly, I am a Research Assistant for Columbia School of Social Work's Poverty Tracker Project, a study designed to track the living situation of thousands of New Yorkers. I use Voxco software to collect survey data from English- and Spanish-speaking households. After Columbia, I aim to attend law school to pursue my interests in constitutional law and federal court reform.
