About Max Ho

Mr. Max Ho is an Associate in the Geostructural Team at Grounded Engineering Inc, and has been active in the geo-structural and foundation engineering industry since 2014. Throughout his career, Max has served as an Engineer and Project Manager on more than a hundred foundation engineering projects, spanning from Ottawa to the Niagara Region. In addition to his work on private developments, Max has played a key role in designing complex earth-interacting structural systems for several iconic infrastructure projects in Ontario. His notable contributions include the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, Coxwell Bypass Tunnel, GO Train Regional Express Railway Expansion initiatives, the Portland Flood Protection Project, and most recently, the Ontario Line. Max also served as the lead shoring engineer for Ontario’s first large-scale diaphragm wall project for a private residential development. Max has international experience with projects involving rock excavation and diaphragm walls in Asia and co-founded Grounded Engineering in 2019 – an engineering consulting firm specializing in underground work with a group of like-minded peers. Max also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering (Honours) from the University of Toronto, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario and Alberta.
