Plan and coordinate the distribution of daily/weekly tasks for the purchasing team- Responsible for the integrity, the screening and the interpretation of Purchase Orders - Responsible for defining the best mode of transportation for incoming and outgoing material - Research and identify potential suppliers to obtain the best prices, quality, and on-time delivery - Expediting - responsible for timely and accurate follow-up on purchase backorders, ensure minimal time delays - Prepare weekly reports on status of field requisitions and purchase order status as required - Other tasks include the following- Effectively communicate purchase order status to Zone Manager, Production Manager, Site SCM, and Regional SCM - Resolve problematic issues related to purchase orders and ensures long standing solutions are applied and put in place - Assist in resolving purchasing and accounting issues with suppliers and/or local accounting - Coordinate with suppliers and local accounting and finance on any material receipts discrepancies - Participate in inventory counts as required - Other inventory/purchasing related tasks upon request - Other inventory management tasks as required - Reported to the Supply Chain Manager
