About Max Leo

I am in my second year of my Bachelor of Commerce/Science degree, majoring in Mathematics and Accounting. Achieved a 99.60 ATAR, with a first in state in Mathematics Advanced when I was in Year 11. Currently have a 80+ WAM, with distinctions in Commerce and high distinctions in Mathematics. Involved in the UNSW Business Society and getting started in the Talented Science Program, SDV Language Facilitator Program, the UNSW Investing Society and UNSW Debating Society. I work as a private tutor in mathematics, physics and chemistry, with plans in addition to work for a tutoring academy or build an online presense of tutoring resources. Used to work in the hospitality industry at both Salvage Cafe in Artarmon and Taste the Aroma in Brisbane. I enjoy travelling, having been to South East Asia numerous times and thus can speak a little Thai. I am also learning French, Mandarin, Japanese and Korean. As a cultural prefect I learnt how to organise and plan event logistics while also connecting different members of the school. My 7 years of debating and public speaking have also provided me with articulate and confident presentation skills, as well as being able to formulate a plan of action on the go. I have achieved a certification in Excel and taken in course in C and learnt Python.
