About Max Lynch

Max is a Houston Area native and Chicago transplant who has been active in progressive change-making for much of their life. They are an alumnus of the University of Houston where they received a double Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Psychology. In their education they focused on public policy research, legislative processes, and community care systems. Max is a skilled policy researcher with a background in immigration, higher education, criminal justice reform, and mental health. They are an experienced oral and written communicator with a documented history of effective community outreach, engagement, and advocacy. This includes the outreach and messaging strategies they employed to change the conversation around criminal justice reform in their employment at Harris County, as well as their personal efforts to change the care protocols for survivors of sexual and domestic violence at a Houston non-profit organization. Max most recently worked in the suicide prevention field as a communications professional, utilizing their skills in writing, digital marketing, and partner engagement to amplify and unify effective messaging strategies among private and public partners in suicide prevention. Max aims to dedicate their career and life to helping members of not only their communities, but all those in marginalized groups. They believe that everyone, regardless of their intersectional identities, deserves to live in a world which is fair, equitable, and safe.
