About Max Melnick

I am the Energy Innovator Fellow in Connecticut. As the Energy Innovator Fellow, I get to work on the very edge of policy development in Connecticut, where I am able to think about some of the most critical areas of policy development needed to enable a more advanced and renewable grid. I started off as a researcher and writer in renewable energy. I wrote for small publications on topics ranging from Hydrogen Energy and AI's use in the energy industry, to how small businesses should respond to survive and protect their community in the early stages of the pandemic. I then began to get increasingly more complicated consulting engagements in a variety of different renewable energy technologies. Throughout 2024, I focused on how I could leverage the immense growth in no-code software as a means of learning how good (and bad) businesses function. I built automations for businesses around primarily their sales, marketing, and quoting procedures. My work with CVT allows me the opportunity to work with early stage founders and understand not only where software makes sense, but help ask the right questions to bring their vision into greater clarity and to eventually give it life.
