About Max Moncur

Max is a corporate sellout. He currently lives in Sacramento, CA working at Deloitte with state, local, and higher education clients. He works from home and suffers from lack of social interaction. Thankfully he recently got a golden retriever puppy named Penny to add to the chaos of his 3 year old bernedoodle named Rusty. Since joining Deloitte, he has supported projects for the California Department of Water Resources, California Department of Housing and Community Development, University of Southern California, and Oregon Health Authority. What led to where Max is now? After serving a 2-year church service mission in the Philippines, he attended Brigham Young University - Hawaii where he met his now wife. After graduating with a bachelors in business management - finance and a minor in entrepreneurship, he got a sales job and coached cross country and track at Kahuku High School. When the COVID pandemic shut the world down, he spent his quarantine building out a food trailer business (which he has since sold) called Bananza, serving up the best chocolate dipped frozen bananas on the north shore of Oahu, HI. He also is in the process of building a running and lifestyle hat brand called Currens while working at Deloitte. Believe it or not, Max is actually pretty cool. He runs a lot and recently raced in the Boston Marathon and will soon race in the Hood to Coast 200-mile relay. He is a die hard Utah Jazz fan which he has a podcast about called "Just Jazz" and also roots for the Anaheim Angels, Anaheim Ducks, LA Rams, and a good underdog/Cinderella story. He lives a hyperactive lifestyle playing many sports, hiking, and serving in his church and local community. He's on a mini golf world tour all while trying to find the best ice cream joints on Earth. He will always wish he was at the beach.
