About Max Najar

I have had a deep interest in the financial markets since the age of 17, which led me to pursue a BSc in Finance at the Westminster University. I was regarded by the course director as being my cohort’s best performing student. I wanted to further my knowledge and I then enrolled in a Corporate Finance MSc at the Warwick Business School. This was a great opportunity for me to build an international network, learn from leading professors and engage in self-development. I self-learned to program in VBA, I used that skill to obtain 85%(cohort’s top grade) at my MSc dissertation by generating complex data. Other than technical skills, working on group projects taught me to be radically open-minded, insisting on hearing all opinions to leverage diversity.Apart from the academic knowledge, I wanted to learn about the approach of top investors, so I took a couple of months to self-develop. I started with Buffet’s favourite books (Intelligent Investor, Security Analysis, The Wealth of Nations) and delved into many others from exceptional investors. To convert such knowledge into skills, I read annual reports and eventually buy stocks if I perceive the expected value worth the price asked for it. It has become a true passion for me, I love learning how profitable a company is, how much cash it is generating, the factors behind such metrics, its liabilities, its competitive environment, and so forth.Following such passion, I have become a consultant in Strategy and Transactions, allowing me to acquire deep knowledge about many different companies and business models.
