About Max Paley

Max Paley is a rising third-year law student at NYU School of Law, originally from Long Island, New York. He was a Summer Associate in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP’s New York office in summer 2025. In summer 2024, he served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Joseph F. Bianco of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. During the 2024–2025 academic year, Max served as a teaching assistant for two courses across both semesters, and in Fall 2024, interned in NYU’s Office of General Counsel and participated in the Mediation Clinic. Before law school, Max graduated one year early from Georgetown University’s College of Arts & Sciences in May 2023 with an A.B. in English and minors in Film and Media Studies and Justice and Peace Studies. During his time at Georgetown, he was deeply involved in student organizations, including the Georgetown Program Board, 1634 Society, and the Jewish Student Association. Professionally, Max worked with the Class Programs and Reunion Campaigns (CPRC) team in the Office of Advancement, where he supported alumni-leader relations, class fundraising, and student-giving campaigns. Despite graduating, he remains committed to the Georgetown community as an elected Co-Chair of the Class of 2023 Alumni Committee, an alumni interviewer through the Alumni Admissions Program, and the Co-Young Alumni Chair of the Georgetown Club of Metro New York. Beyond his academic and legal pursuits, Max is a podcast producer, editor, and host. His first limited series, “Hidden Truth: The Death and Legacy of David Shick,” was released in April 2023 and is available on all major podcast platforms.
