About Max Penny
Currently pursuing a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sheffield having returned from a year-long internship as a Wing Structure Design Engineer at Airbus. My experience there was incredibly rewarding, building on my skills in CAD, technical drawing and GD & T within a professional environment. During my time at university, I’ve made myself busy, from leading a team of 50 to develop a prototype battery electric vehicle, to launching a side business creating carbon fibre products for climbing and cycling. As of recent, I’ve been redesigning a mountain bike suspension linkage and building an accompanying telemetry system. An avid mountain biker, I have competed and podiumed at the national level across multiple disciplines as well as spent a season in Queenstown, New Zealand.
