I enjoy life and consider creativity and adventure an essential part of that. I am a structured person but thrive on variety, problem-solving, self-improvement and continual learning. My goals are simply to enjoy a balanced life as much as is possible while appreciating every person; being true to myself and my values; and in whatever it may be, to be the best at what I do. I tenaciously believe that anything is possible, and have a hands-on approach to making it happen. A testament to my “never let go” attitude is the completion of my Helicopter pilot license despite having had numerous insurmountable setbacks. I have learned that “impossible” only takes a little longer, so once committed to a challenge with a goal in mind, I won’t rest until I see it through to the end. Aviation I have been fortunate to gain extensive experience in nearly all areas of the Helicopter Operations Industry. NAC, being the largest Helicopter operator in Africa with a diverse fleet of 45+ helicopters, has afforded me ample opportunity to be exposed to the background workings of operations; far above what pilots alone usually experience. Cinematography | Live Production | Technical Directing Learning to lead a live broadcast team, while creatively bringing together all elements under pressure, provided a sense of accomplishment. The most valuable lesson I learned broadcasting live was that you only get one chance to capture a real moment - no retakes. Endeavoring to transfer that philosophy into my shooting style, I prefer capturing footage in an unobtrusive manner, capturing real moments and interactions as they happen. Looking Forward: I am keen to remain involved in the aviation industry and continue developing myself as a helicopter pilot, while continuing to be involved in operations. I am enthusiastic about combining my love for aviation and cinematography, and aspire to produce A-grade content that is as inspiring as the machines I have the privilege of flying.
