About Maximillian Diaz
Engineer and biomechanist that really nerds out about human performance and movement. My PhD work is currently looking to 1) quantify human hand function, strength, and dimension at a population level and 2) compare different approaches for making personalized computer models of an individual’s arm muscles and bones for predictive modeling. As a researcher I am collecting and processing motion capture, EMG, and force data to create my musculoskeletal models. In looking to improve my work I constantly apply my previous experiences in epidemiology, forensic pathology, orthopedic implants, and machine learning. Outside of the lab, I love applying different biomechanics theories while training for my next marathon.
