About Maxwell Garfinkle

I am a hard-working, and detail oriented strategist who solves problems with compassion and practicality.I recently accepted a full time offer to join Capital One's Management Rotation Program as an associate in the internal audit department. As an intern last summer, I actively increased the efficiency of the Commercial Bank Audit team by creating dashboards using Google Sheets and Google DataStudio. I worked with the management team to determine how to effectively plan audits and allocate resources where necessary. This July, I will return to Capital One's internal audit team as a full time associate.I have interned at the US House of Representatives and worked with hundreds of constituents to make sure that their voices are heard and their needs are met. Additionally, I served as the Smith Undergraduate Student Association's VP of Professional Affairs, where I was able to hone his communication skills, critical thinking, and professionalism.I am passionate about helping others, as seen in my work with TerpTax, a nonprofit providing free tax filing services to residents in the Prince George's County area. I can also frequently be found spending time with family, lifting weights, or watching movies with my friends.I have experiences with G-Suite, Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, Tableau, and a variety of other tools.
