About Maxwell Haydon

Hi there! My name is Maxwell Haydon, and I am currently developing experience as a newly hired Marketing Specialist at Danville Signal Processing inc, which is based out of Cannon Falls, MN. I am also a recent graduate from Winona State University's Bachelor of Science in Marketing program as of May 2020. I have a variety of unique experiences to bring to the table and am excited to develop this experience further in the years to come! Throughout my collegiate experience at Winona State University, I was given the tools and requisite coursework to succeed in an exponentially growing digital marketing industry. I benefitted greatly from Winona State's COB education model of "Create Your More," which contrasted a majority of standardized-testing-based curriculums by implementing a project-based coursework platform. Rather than merely regurgitating information in the form of a multiple-choice testing environment, my experience at Winona State provided the framework and a real-world scope in developing marketing strategies as well as facilitating project management for a variety of clients. Through this, I have had the opportunity to work on projects for local businesses in the Winona area including Visit Winona, Winona State Athletics, Island City Brewing Company, Winona National Bank, and GoAdvntr. To parallel this classroom experience, I also had the opportunity to exercise this knowledge in other applications with Morgan's Jewelers in Winona as a senior digital marketing intern in 2018, and Rochester Downtown Alliance as a Marketing and Events Intern in 2019. These experiences allowed me to fine-tune my marketing skills, and helped me gain a broader scope on the possibilities and opportunities that the digital world provides us today. I gained firsthand experience within content creation and strategy, social media scheduling, marketing research, and web design. As if that wasn't enough to keep me busy at all times, I also enjoyed the opportunity in creating my own apparel company, Mauxvelli, as a platform to exercise these skills I developed throughout my time at Winona State. We have been truly grateful to stay alive and well-as a company and as individuals-throughout the pandemic, and have transitioned seamlessly from primarily physical "Pop-up" events to a fully online presence.
