I am an experienced and enthusiastic climate action professional adept at building networks, devising strategic initiatives, and delivering compelling presentations to various audiences. My expertise lies at the intersection of tangible local climate action solutions and supporting the people driving their implementation. In my role as the Director of Climate Leadership at the Community Energy Association (CEA), I lead the Capacity and Leadership Development (CLD) team. Here, we cultivate collaboration between local governments, Indigenous leadership, and provincial and federal authorities. Operating on a regional scale, our dynamic team actively engages with communities in BC, Alberta, and nationally. Our forte lies in orchestrating peer networks that address a spectrum of high-priority climate action topics and fostering regional collaborations. By doing so, we facilitate aligned, efficient, and bold climate action implementation. Through our networks and capacity-building initiatives, we empower the dedicated staff and elected officials in local governments and Indigenous communities with the technical skills, tools, confidence, and invaluable peer support necessary for effective solution implementation. I thrive on transforming climate goals into tangible, impactful actions, ultimately contributing to the creation of more livable and equitable communities.
