I'm a highly driven and detail-oriented communications professional with a strong background in media relations, content development, and strategic messaging. Since joining Barnard College's Communications Department in 2021, I have refined my ability to craft compelling narratives, manage media inquiries, and execute press strategies that elevate faculty research and institutional accomplishments. In 2022, I was promoted to Media Relations Coordinator, taking on expanded responsibilities, including supervising a team. This role has strengthened my leadership skills, deepened my expertise in crisis communication, and allowed me to drive engagement through targeted media strategies. My work spans multiple high-impact initiatives, including: Producing and distributing a daily media report focused on reputation monitoring Managing a large database of key contacts and overseeing communications that reach up to recipients Leading all communications related to campus construction projects Amplifying faculty research and accomplishments with stories on our website as well as pitches to reporters that secure external coverage Driving media relations efforts for the Athena Film Festival, a premier event that attracts more than 6,500 attendees annually I am passionate about clear, effective messaging and staying ahead of industry trends to ensure communications efforts are both impactful and strategic.
