About Maya Halma

I am a third-year student at Temple University with majors in Communication & Social Influence and Spanish on track to graduate this spring. The CSI program affords me a unique psychology-based perspective to structuring persuasive campaigns. I am interested in using this perspective to promote social causes such as environmentalism, public health and participation in the political system. I am a Communications Intern at Temple Athletics, the Media Manager of the Temple Honors Program, and a Spanish Language Tutor and Conversation Partner with the Student Success Center. I am also the President of Temple University Democrats and a volunteer at the Office of Sustainability at Temple University. In the past, I have interned for state Senator Nick Miller on the communications side, volunteered for Representative Susan Wild's Congressional campaign, organized for March For Our Lives and interned with State Representative Peter Schweyer.
