I immigrated from Switzerland to the USA on January 4th 1977, following my husband who is from San Diego back to the States. I hold a certificate for Commercial Photography from the Art College of Zurich, Switzerland and worked in that field until my move to the US. We have a son Gabriel and a daughter Michelle which kept me for a lenghty time out of the buiness loop. I entered eventually with my husband into Real Estate and later bought the Torrey Pines Gliderport in San Diego where we ran a successful Hangliding and Paragliding School, gave Tandem Instruction flights to thousands of tourists, ran an outdoor restaurant and an equipment and souvenir shop. We retired from that business after 13 years and eventually moved to Defiance, OH to live the retired life. But business is in my blood and after a couple of restless years I opened The Village Square store in the heart of Defiance. Following countless requests I converted an attached small retail space into a Christian Store. The Village Square is modeled after an European Village Market with a 80 foot wall mural of mediterranean buidings on each side of the store and umbrellas and tables and a fountain in the square. I carry fair trade items, eclectic and interesting stuff and things from far away places. The Little Church Store carries Christian items for the everyday need and also for special occasions!
