About Maya Neiberg

Since 2020, we've all heard the words "unprecedented times." To me, the saying became a symbol of the work I knew I wanted to pursue in my years of higher education. I am a third-year student at Tulane University pursuing dual bachelor's degrees in public health and political science, specifically international development, with minors in history and sociology. I have developed strong writing skills, and I enjoy creating presentations to demonstrate my public speaking skills and creative abilities. I excel under pressure, am detail-oriented, and especially enjoy finding the intersections between my varying interests, including global health disparities, health equity, humanitarian action, and social and political theory. I have experience working in multiple fields, including research, library work, acting as a store associate, and managing social media accounts for a non-profit organization. Although the skills for each job varied, I developed strong customer service and time management skills and grew to excel at multitasking. My experiences have strengthened my ability to collaborate with others and taught me the responsibilities necessary to succeed in my work.
