About Maya Scott
Maya Scott, MSW, LICSW, director of the Center for Health Outcomes, is responsible for operationalizing the mission of CHO and Seattle Children’s, the advancement and integration of health equity, and reduction of health disparities. Maya is a social worker and ethicist, with her clinical training in pediatric palliative care and bereavement, and the integration of health equity in ethics consultation, and currently serves as a Vice-Chair of the Seattle Children’s Ethics Committee. As a part of her work at the Center, Maya has supported the growth and expansion of CHO consultation across Seattle Children’s and closer to the bedside with hospital-based roles, deepening of integration into Quality and Safety, systems-level approaches to ethical complexity, and conflict. Maya continues to focus on how to engage in patient, family, and community centered approaches to improving health outcomes.
