About Maya Siman-Tov

During my first year of college I was debating to whether major in social work or nursing. I thought to myself that I always had a passion for helping people and the medical field and so, I decided to pursue my career in nursing which I instantly fell in love with. I believe my empathy and willingness to care for people is what inspired me to pursue my career in nursing. Throughout nursing school, I had the opportunity to learn from experienced nurses in various departments, including medical surgical, oncology, labor and delivery, a step down unit and the emergency department, which became my personal favorite. The hospitals of my assigned clinical sites includes, Memorial hospital West, Broward Health Medical Center and Baptist Hospital in Kendall. My future plans consist of taking my nursing knowledge and begin working as a RN. After attaining a few years of experience, I would like to continue my education and become a nurse practitioner.
