Hello! My name is Maya Staples, and I am a US Navy Veteran. Currently, I serve as a design verification technician at Stryker Medical and have aspirations to become a project manager. As a certified aviation electronic technician with over 7 years of professional working experience with 4 of them being in the military. I possess extensive knowledge in troubleshooting and electrical theory. My leadership skills were honed by supervising over 30 sailors, delegating tasks, and overseeing watch billets. I've also been trained to handle high-stress environments, making me highly adaptable to ever-changing processes and workloads. With a strong work ethic, I firmly believe in working diligently to achieve my goals. My interpersonal skills enable me to collaborate effectively with diverse teams to complete tasks efficiently. Additionally, I am CPR and ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) qualified. I am pursuing a communications degree at WSU as well, which complements my technical background and broadens my skill set for future opportunities. I am eager to learn, accept responsibility, work hard, and excel in all aspects for my future employer.
