From being one of the ancient professions on Earth, even moon mining could be possible in near future for a mining engineer."~ The words of one of my undergrad professor that struck me hard. A Mining Engineer by choice, it's fascinating to see the role minerals play in industrial as well as social development. I am privileged to have experienced this first hand being part of Coal India Limited, the largest coal producer in the world. I have more than 10 years experience as a Mining Engineer and have worked in both opencast and underground mines. I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Operations Management and I am currently looking into blast designing and planning operations in mines of Coal India Ltd. Having keen interest in learning, I have hands-on experience of several mining related softwares such as Carlson, Minex, Galena, Wipfrag and JK Simblast; Proanalyst for blast-image analysis; and CMG's GEM for modelling coalbed methane reservoir. I also have knowledge of technical analysis softwares such as Matlab & MS Excel and have a professional certificate in Statistics and Machine learning.
