About Mayank Arora

I have completed PhD from La Trobe University and IIT Kanpur, with a focus on Peer-to-Peer Energy Trading, Cyber Security, Blockchain, and Database systems. My academic journey includes an M.Tech in Power Electronics and Power Systems from NIT Goa and a B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Northern India Engineering College. With a rich background in both academia, I have served as a sessional lecturer and lab tutor at La Trobe University, teaching subjects like Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, Database Fundamentals, and Professional Practices in IT. My research contributions include a novel price discovery insurance scheme for outage-resilient energy management systems and enhancing peer-to-peer energy trading efficiency in decentralized smart grids, published in prestigious journals and conferences. Additionally, I have hands-on experience with real-time simulators, IoT cloud platforms, and blockchain technologies, including Solidity. I have been recognized with several scholarships and awards, such as the IITK La Trobe Joint Degree Scholarship and the MHRD Scholarship, and have published multiple journal and conference papers, along with book chapters. My projects range from developing line-following robots to blockchain-based energy trading systems, showcasing my diverse technical skills and innovative approach to problem-solving in the field of Electrical and Computer Science Engineering.
