I love solving problems, proactively preventing problems, knowledge sharing, collaborative progress, and building things - and tech is my tool of choice to do that.Having the perspective that everything is a trade-off, and our priorities guide the choices between these tradeoffs, I have come to realize that regular realignment of priorities and effective communication between all collaborators is essential for constant progress and minimization of conflicts.I've always preferred conceptual understanding over rote memorization, and don't like putting things in boxes. My favourite quote is "There is no box". Eventually, all things are interlinked - we just need to pull enough strings to figure out how.Here's the story about why and how I got into tech -My fascination with computers began from the very first moment I saw one - in 5th grade, back in 2003. It was a Windows ME box, with 64MB RAM and a 32GB HDD.By 7th grade, I had somehow discovered the internet, and my fascination only grew. My parents gave me a weekly budget to spend at a Cyber Café near my house. I used to spend a few hours a week just exploring the internet.One lucky day, I accidentally stumbled across HTML and inline CSS when I clicked "View Source".Then, I was hooked. I saved those web pages, paid ~30 INR to the Café owner to burn the web pages to a CD, and took it home to dissect.By 10th grade, I'd gotten dial-up internet at home, learned some MySQL and PHP, had a local dev machine running LAMP Stack using XAMPP, hosted a bunch of PHP web-proxies and some flash gaming websites on shared hosts, and earned some revenue from advertisements.My university plans were just "Computer Science" & "Hometown" because I wanted to continue exploring more.During university, I got into digital marketing while trying to get more traffic to my websites. It developed my interest in business, and in both mass and individual psychology. For the next 3 years during university, I explored various facets of digital marketing. After graduation, I worked in a marketing-related role during my first days in the industry. Eventually, I realized that I prefer engineering more, switched roles to R&D dev within the same organization, and have stuck to software engineering since.
