About Mayank Joshi

I started my journey in tech as a video game developer (designer), but then I stumbled into different domains and got hooked on cybersecurity. Ever since I began learning about it, I've been captivated! Right now, I'm aiming to be a Cybersecurity Engineer/Analyst and I'm committed to upskilling in this field. My current goals are to earn my CompTIA Sec+ and Microsoft SC-900 certifications, among others. On top of that, as a contracted professional, I serve as an Analyst working with Google within the gTech ACOT(Google Technical Services, Ads Content Operations and Testing) division. My primary role involves conducting comprehensive analyses of Google Ads datasets, with a focus on assessing the quality of AI Overview (AIO) and Large Language Models (LLM) associated with the ads. This entails reviewing the quality and ensuring that the data adheres to policies and guidelines. This rigorous analysis is critical to my role, as the information I process is transmitted to Google AI/ML engineers for the enhancement of the AI platforms. I feel this job is a fantastic stepping stone for me because the foundational principles of cybersecurity fit perfectly with what I do here with skills like in-depth Data Analysis, Problem-Solving, Integrity, Ethics, Teamwork, Collaboration, Adaptability, and Continuous Learning. I believe these are all super essential for my long-term career in cybersecurity alongside my technical skills specific to the domain(cybersecurity). Beyond tech, I’m an avid gamer! I’ve played almost every popular game on all platforms, from PlayStation to Xbox to PC. Video games are like therapy for me and have significantly impacted my life, turning the ordinary into something meaningful. I’m also fascinated by computer hardware. It’s amazing how the software we develop and run is deeply linked with the hardware itself. Every little detail, from CPU instructions per clock (IPC) to GPU core counts, SRAM frequency, and DRAM specifications, plays a vital role in ensuring everything runs smoothly, and that’s just so interesting to me. Aside from all this tech life, I love spending time with my family and friends, jamming out to music (Eminem is my top pick), and diving into astronomy. When I’m not working, you can catch me exploring the universe in Space Engine. So, yeah, that's my life in a nutshell.
