About Mayar Rizvi

With over 23+ years of experience in retail and wholesale, I am a Senior Vice President and Head of Operations, Sales & New Initiatives at Hippo Homes, a fast-growing omni-channel start-up in the home improvement & building sector. I am part of the core leadership team that built the company from scratch, and I am responsible for strategizing and executing the business model, customer segmentation, store design and layout, processes and systems integration, sales and marketing, and team building and development. I have extensive experience in P&L management and expansion in different formats of retail, such as home building, cash and carry, hypermarkets, and convenience stores, in India and the Middle East. I have worked with top companies like Metro Cash & Carry, Walmart, Aditya Birla Retail, and Geant Saudi, in senior roles in operations, sales, and merchandising. I have successfully opened and run multiple stores, developed and implemented standard operating procedures, and overseen all functions of the retail business.
