About Mayara Ribeiro

Let me begin by introducing myself: my name is Mayara Ribeiro and I live in São Paulo, Brazil. I’ve been a creative copywriter for over ten years and I’m now acting as a Associate Creative Director - during this time I’ve had the opportunity to work at large agencies with global clients, such as: Amstel, Burger King, Coca Cola, Uber, YouTube, Google, Havaianas, AB Inbev, Natura, Renault, Meta and many others. I believe that we can do good advertising, but we can also do advertising for good, and throughout my career I have tried to balance these two things. To really help people, we need to be updated with new technologies and emerging social issues. That way we can create connections that bring new perspectives to the world. I'm also passionate about good music and bad jokes. I love oil painting even though I never finish a single canvas. I graduated in photography and took an interior design course - because of all that people call me an artsy copywriter. That means I like beautiful (very beautiful) campaigns, am obsessed with well-designed decks and love to write funny, sarcastic or completely nonsense scripts. Outside my regular agency job I also have a social project that I am very proud of: I am co-founder and teacher at Escola Rua, a free course for youngsters who want to work in an agency but cannot afford expensive creative schools.
