Background
About Maybellene Gamboa
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Organismal Biology & Ecology at Colorado College. I received my PhD in Ecology from Colorado State University where I studied adaptive variation in Chanenl Island song sparrows. My research interests are at the intersection of evolutionary ecology, conservation, and animal behavior and physiology. I am deeply interested in testing hypotheses related to adaptation and animal behavior across heterogeneous landscapes. I teach courses in Ecology, Animal Biology, Animal Behavior, Island Biogeography, Molecular Ecology, and Animal Physiology. My teaching philosophy emphasizes inclusive and asset-based pedagogical practices.
