About Mayca Sanz

High-standards. Results-driven. Team-builder. I consider myself a versatile professional in the field of audiovisual production. I have over ten years experience in AV production. Apart from my role as executive film producer and performing arts producer, I have also led communication and press for various film festivals. For me, producing is a complex art that requires more than actually making ends meet. My degree in psychology opened my eyes to how vital it is to understand the team’s motivations and expectations; it is only by taking care of your team that your team will reciprocate. Over the years I have found myself working time and time again with the same professionals, building a powerful network based on mutual trust and respect. In 2015 I co-founded Cicely Films, a production company specialized in giving tailor-fit solutions to cultural and communications endeavours. In 2018, I re-invented it, and turned it into Allegra Films, my current production company. In all these years I have learnt that it’s possible to assembly seemingly distant facts and resources into a cohesive story. Putting together a team in order to effectively communicate the client’s needs into a coherent product is what fuels me in my day-to-day work.
