About Maymay Trotter

My name is MayMay Trotter, and I am a senior at the University of Alabama. I am currently studying Hospitality Management, with a concentration in meetings and events, graduating with my bachelor’s degree in December 2025. I am also enrolled in the Accelerated Masters Program and plan to graduate with my MS in May 2026! I enjoy social media management and have been fortunate to be a digital influencer/intern for the past 2 summers for a travel company called Lead Abroad. I often spend my free time creating content for myself and my sorority, as well as expanding my knowledge in event organization and promotion online! The past two summers, I was fortunate to gain an internship with a local event planning company called Corporate Event Partners, as well as helping out with SoHo Event Rentals. I was able to explore my hospitality management passion by helping plan for a major fundraising event for CEP. Some of my responsibilities included helping to create invitations that would go out to hundreds in our local community and helping plan a vision for the event that included a speaker and decorations. In this position as an intern, I also helped to plan for, set up, and take down preparations for local events already on their calendar. I was able to help promote CEP on local social media as well. In my sorority, I serve as the Public Relations Director for 2024-2025! I design and edit videos and posts for our chapter, as well as help to promote many of the sorority outreach opportunities and philanthropies. I also display insights on our Gamma Pi chapter’s sisterhood and members on a weekly basis! I am looking forward to diving more into this role and to represent our chapter in the best way possible!
