I am currently working for Inprocess as a project manager. My main tasks are the production and delivery of steady state and dynamic digital twins or of operator trainign systems (OTS) using first-principle process simulation tools such as Aspen Hysys, UniSim, etc. My responsability includes the management of complex projects and the communication with the customers. Previously, I worked for Borregaard Ibérica as a reseacher and technical application manager. The main archivenent was to accelerate the lab-to-sales process of highly modified biopolymers based on the deep understanding of Borregaard’s customers needs. The tasks included laboratory and plant testing, plant trials at custerms sites, colaboration with technical institutes and production of technical documentation for internal training and for marketing. Before that, I worked at the Centre for Environmental Policy at Imperial College of London. I worked on the conceptual design of novel processes related to the decarbonisation of the energy sector, including carbon capture and lignocellulosic biomass pretreatment. The main achievement was the development of process performance indexed models in gPROMS to assess the feasibility of these novel projects from the basic engineering. I hold a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alicante (Spain) and a Ph.D. by the Technical University of Eindhoven (The Netherlands) for a dissertation on the carbon dioxide capture from natural gas using ionic liquids. During my PhD, I worked for company supported research programs in collaboration with the Petroleum Institute (now Khalifa University) in Abu Dhabi. The main tasks included the design of a high pressure equilibrium apparatus, the conduction of high pressure phase equilibrium experiments and the development and implementation of thermodynamic mathematical models in Matlab and Fortran which were later used for rpocess simulation in Aspen. The objective was to asses innovative gas processing methods. I am a meticulous chemical engineer who enjoys team working and using my analytical skills to solve problems. My interpersonal and communication skills were further developed during collaboration among academic, technical institutes and industrial project partners. Designing new equipment, products and carrying out plant trials led me to develop a good understanding of experimental design and HSE principles, as well as the capability to complete project tasks and assignments according to the schedule.
