About Mbali Twala

I am an Industrial Engineer with experience in implementing Digital Systems in the coal mining industry (both open cast and underground mining). I have a proven track record in leveraging digital tools and systems to enhance business processes, facilitate business improvement and enable data-driven decision-making in multi-disciplinary teams. I have contributed in teams that are responsible for identifying business improvement areas, understanding the root cause and generating sustainable solutions to resolve these. As an Industrial Engineer at Sasol Mining, the business improvement projects that I have facilitated, have been related to digitalization, supply chain, operations and asset management. Through these projects I have acquired advanced digital transformation and implementation, data analysis, model development, facilitation, change management and presentation skills. During my time at Exxaro, my responsibilities were to facilitate operational improvement teams to realize business goals through the application of relevant industrial engineering tools and techniques.
