Background
About Mbayi Aben
The theme of all of my work is, “Creativity is my ministry.” My goal is to use my art as a method to love, heal, and make room for people who are often not seen. It doesn’t matter if I am making a film or performing a poem on stage, my objective is to invite the audience to a space of vulnerability to initiate change from the inside out. I pride myself on using my artwork to construct spaces of empathy, openness, and safety. I am a woman of faith and proud mentor in my community!
