About McCall e Sarrett

I am an auditory and cognitive neuroscientist with 9+ years of research experience and a passion for language science and making learning accessible to all. I’m currently looking to expand my knowledge and network in the data science space, as I am looking to advance my skills in the following: R, Python, machine learning, AI, data wrangling and visualization. I utilize my expertise in psycholinguistics and human neurophysiology while directing the Brain & Language (BLÜM) Lab. My team of 15+ researcher assistants uses advanced electroencephalography (EEG) techniques to investigate key issues in language comprehension and acquisition, resulting in 7+ publications, including a publication in Nature Communications. I have spearheaded research projects on second language learning, spoken language comprehension, sound symbolism, and music cognition, and mentored 30+ young professionals over the course of my career. In my professional life, I value adventure, authenticity, and balance among my colleagues and teammates. I get energized by leading or being a part of teams that are built around collaboration, enthusiasm, and hard work. I thrive best in professional contexts where impact is valued, as well as sustainability and communication.
