I am a live television captioner, focusing primarily on sporting events. This job has allowed me to play a part in some of the most important moments in live television for the past few years. I was never a sports fan before joining the VITAC captioning team, but now I can't wait to tap into the feed and be a silent extra member of broadcasting crews throughout the country (and even internationally). I enjoy spectating all kinds of sports, but I definitely have a soft spot for basketball, hockey, and auto racing. I would love to make connections with broadcasting professionals! Unfortunately there is not much time to chat when we are doing our captions tests before showtime. I'm interested to hear what things are like on your side of the audio connection!
