About McKenzie Braley
With a passion for supporting peoples' mental health and a fascination in the brain-behaviour relationship, I'm excited to be pursuing a PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology at Simon Fraser University (SFU). My doctoral dissertation, funded by the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) and the BC Network Environment for Indigenous Health Research (BC NEIHR), focuses on culturally safe clinical assessment with Indigenous clients in the legal system. Broadly, my interests include neuropsychology, Indigenous health and wellbeing, and cultural safety. I am passionate about improving cultural safety and eliminating Indigenous-specific racism in mental and medical healthcare. Clinically, I am interested in neuropsychological assessment of children and adults with neurological, psychiatric, and medical conditions.
