About Meagan Cervello

I was initially hired into the New Graduate program at Northern Westchester in 2016, soon moving onto the Cariopulmonary unit. In January 2018, I made the move to the Emergency Department nurse fellowship program, and 'graduated' summer 2018. In December 2022, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA from Chamberlain University with a MSN in Education.During my schooling, I have completed approximately 800 hours of clinical experience in the Bassett Healthcare network (Medical-Surgical, Obstetrics, Geriatrics) and Albany Med (Pediatrics). Additionally, I was selected to travel to rural Jamaica for the month in January, 2013 to participate in a transcultural nursing course and care experience.I have completed and presented on multiple research projects - I completed a podium presentation on the effects of music therapy on patients with cognitive defects, which all of the nursing department and campus was welcome to attend. Additionally, I wrote a full senior thesis on the effects of music therapy as a non-pharmacological method of pain relief for postoperative patients. My podium presentation for this research was completed in Spring 2015
