About Meagan Moynagh

I value work that makes a positive impact improving sustainability for the environment and individuals in my community. I am motivated to work hard and seek opportunities to learn new skills. I have experience in planning and implementing projects focused on climate change adaptation, and natural resource management. Part of my current role is to deliver and manage a federally funded program to implement beneficial management practices that mitigate agricultural contributions to climate change. To reduce GHG emissions and increase sequestration of carbon by improving nitrogen management, expanding cover cropping, and supporting the adoption of rotational grazing. I co developed a Climate adaptation plan for the agricultural sector on Prince Edward Island that assesses the social, economic, and natural factors of risk due to a changing climate and determines recommended actions to inform decisions and improve the sector's resilience. To support initiatives I develop community education and outreach events focused on environmental, climate, and agronomic topics. I graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a BSc in Environment and Natural Resource Management. I majored in wildlife conservation through my degree and completed a Diploma in Wildlife Conservation Technology from Holland College. I have been working in the environmental field for 6 years. I have experience working out in the field conducting surveys and collecting data for research and reports. I have collaborated with teams to create environmental and wildlife management plans.
