About Meagan Talbott
I am a developmental psychologist and an autism researcher. My research focuses on gesture and language development, and early identification and interventions for young infant and toddlers on the spectrum or at elevated likelihood. My latest projects have focused on developing and validating a telehealth-based protocol for evaluating infants' social communication, verbal, and nonverbal development over time. This work uses a combination of both quantitative and qualitative methods to better understand the developmental trajectories of infants with early behavioral markers of autism and the kinds of supports that are most helpful to families during this period of early diagnostic uncertainty.
