About Meaghan Bennett

My educational background includes a three-year Advanced Diploma in Dental Hygiene, a Bachelor of Health Science Degree, certificates in Dental Assisting, Human Services and Adult Education and I am currently in my Masters of Health Studies with a focus on teaching in health science. I have gained work experience as a professor with the Dental Hygiene and Assisting programs at Fanshawe College and Oulton College. During this time, I have taken on many leadership roles such as coordinating the dental assisting program at Oulton College. In these roles I had the opportunity to lead the completion of accreditation reports and conduct program reviews. I have also gained work experience as a community RDH with Indigenous Services Canada, as well as traditional clinical environments. My work experience in education, public health, and private practice has given me the opportunity to continue to develop an array of relevant skills including teaching dentistry through various online learning management systems. My passion for education, and working with vulnerable populations, can be seen through my work and extracurricular experiences. I believe health promotion, disease prevention, and community mobilization are critical in creating lasting, positive changes in the oral, and overall health status of the public. I am eager to apply my skills, knowledge, and passion through my career in various dynamic outlets.
