About Meaghan Howe

Primary care is my passion! I work with patients and families who are looking to develop a trusting, reliable relationship with their primary care provider. My patients come to me because they are frustrated by the wait times, surprise fees, inaccessibility, and high out-of-pocket costs that they have experienced within the traditional primary care model and are looking for something new. After having worked within the primary care system for several years, I also understand the challenges that primary care providers face in an insurance-based model: they have to see a certain number of patients and file a certain number of claims to generate income, resulting in limited face-to-face time with patients, significant time coding and writing notes, and inevitable provider burn-out. Direct primary care aims to solve these issues for both the patient and provider: longer patient visits, direct access to your PCP, no wait times, no surprise fees. As a family nurse practitioner, I provide primary care services to patients of all ages.
